Caught On America: FBI Bullies Conservatives In Their Homes

Project Veritas published a video this week that shows the home of one of their journalists being raided by FBI agents. In the video, which was made in Nov. 2021, armed agents are shown beating on the door. After going into the home, they yelled, “Let me see your hands!”

The footage also shows the agents with rifles and searching the home of the journalist. They went through his closets, kitchen and bedroom, searching through his belongings. He can be heard telling the agents that “his hands are up.”

The organization explained in an email to its subscribers that “the seizures and raid were done at the behest of the White House’s Dept. of Justice despite Att. Gen. Merrick Garland’s promise to respect press freedoms.”

James O’Keefe, founder of Project Veritas, excoriated the actions of the Justice Department, calling it “an attempt by the gov. to silence and intimidate us as journalists,” and that the group would “stand firm to fight for the rights of our fellow journalists and to vindicate our First Amendment rights.”

The FBI’s raid was reported to be related to the publication of pieces of a diary that belonged to the daughter of Pres. Joe Biden, Ashley Biden. National File journalist, Patrick Howley, published excerpts of what is thought to be her personal diary in Oct. 2020, which has entries talking about inappropriate showers with her father.

Project Veritas explained that “tipsters” came to the organization, saying that they had a copy of Ashley’s diary. The organization, after receiving the documents, tried to corroborate the accuracy of its contents.

The organization gave the diary to law enforcement and never published any piece of it.

We now have video footage that shows how the raid happened and, predictably, it is not pretty. It is a blatant attack on the First Amendment, and looks to be an attempt to intimidate a media outlet. Project Veritas has not yet said what its plans are, but it does seem to be a possibility that the group is thinking about legal action. The group hired a Washington law firm in Dec. to look into the raid. It probably will not be long before the group takes action.
