Democrats Rush To Prepare Gun Confiscation

In the aftermath of the most recent mass shooting in Buffalo, New York Governor Kathy Hochul signed a number of gun control measures Monday.

Under the revised legislation, it will be more difficult to obtain body armor and firearms, with individuals under the age of 21 no longer allowed to buy certain semi-automatic rifles. Furthermore, new systems will be established that will monitor weapons, ammunition and suspected criminals, according to Governor Hochuls’ website.

“I have come to you as the governor of a state in distress and as a citizen of a country in peril,” she continued. “It just keeps recurring. Shots ring out. The flags are lowered, and nothing changes — except in New York.”

New York Republicans have expressed concern that the bills do not address the true problem facing New Yorkers: violent crime.

“In typical Albany form, Kathy Hochul is following in the footsteps of her former mentor, Andrew Cuomo, and instead focusing on generating easy headlines for her campaign rather than ensuring New Yorkers’ safety,” Nick Langworthy, chairman of the New York Republican Party, said. “If Hochul and legislative leaders really cared about gun violence, they would pass legislation today to repeal their harmful bail rules that have turned our streets over to violent offenders.”

Others in the party have complained that the new laws disregard mental health issues.

“This gun control package addresses everything except the fundamental problem of mental health,” Anil Beephan, a Republican candidate for the NY State Assembly, told TheDCNF. “Rising crime in the state must be addressed, but the conversation should start with mental health rather than unconstitutional gun controls.”

Hochul has also faced criticism from her own party. In a campaign ad, Democratic congressman and candidate for governor Tom Suozzi criticized Hochul for receiving NRA endorsements while in Congress.

Democrats never fail to want the American population to be more easily controlled. Why is this? Maybe they are planning to do something that Americans might get extremely angry about?
