In a tweet on Monday, Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk stated that if Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis launches a White House bid and competes against President Joe Biden, DeSantis will win the race without even having to campaign.
“At the end of his term, President Biden would be 82 years old, which is too old to be the president of anything, much less the United States. If DeSantis runs against Biden in 2024, he will win easily – he doesn’t even have to campaign,” Musk wrote on Twitter.
Last month, Musk revealed that he had cast his vote for Republican Mayra Flores, who won a special election to represent Texas’s 34th Congressional District in an unusual post on Twitter. “Mayra Flores is my first-ever republican vote.” In 2022, there will be a “massive crimson wave,” according to Musk. He also said he was leaning toward backing DeSantis in 2024.
The Republican governor has not yet declared his intentions regarding a presidential bid in 2024, but he is seeking re-election to his current position as Florida’s governor in 2022. DeSantis’ remarks about Musk were made last month, when he responded that he is “focused on 2022” and added, “I welcome the African American’s support.” South Africa is where Elon Musk was born.
Mr. Trump has previously referred to Musk as “another bulls[***] artist,” claiming that Musk had informed him he had voted for him.
Elon Musk responded to Trump’s allegation on Monday, writing, “That is not true.”
“I don’t despise the guy, but it’s time for Trump to put down his hat and go sailing into the sunset,” Musk said on Monday. “The Democrats should also call off the assault – don’t make it so that Trump’s only option is to reclaim the Presidency.”
Another presidential campaign is widely anticipated for President Donald Trump.
President Biden, who is the oldest president in American history, has stated that he will run again as long as he is healthy. Biden would be 86 years old at the conclusion of his second term if he were to run and win re-election.
