Ottawa’s police chief pledged that truckers and other joining protestors who were involved with the protests will pay severely for their actions and get targeted in the “months to come.”

“If you are connected to this protest, we will actively seek to identify you and push criminal charges and financial sanctions,” the police chief stated during a media conference. “Absolutely. This investigation will continue for months to come.”

Canada has kept their heavy-handed rule over the conservative protestors involved in the ‘Canadian Freedom Convoy’ in one might be considered one of the most draconian and brutal government crackdowns by any western democracy in history.

Tensions in the country remain high; Canadian PM Justin Trudeau recently used the emergency act allowing for large acts of power including arrests and stealing the funds of protestors or other funds approved by the state.
