Pelosi Team Riddled With Anxiety Over Trucker Convoy

The office of Democrat Nancy Pelosi (CA) is “closely” watching the trucker convoy now heading toward Washington, DC, to protest the pandemic mandates.

“We are watching the situation closely but defer you to the USCP, which is in control of security,” Drew Hammill, Pelosi’s deputy chief of staff, said in his Tuesday comment to Fox News.

A trucker convoy is scheduled to arrive in D.C. before President Biden’s State of the Union Address on March 1st.

As Breitbart News reports:

“Kyle Sefcik, leader of the USA Freedom Convoy, told WUSA CBS 9 that he will leave LA on Friday and go to D.C. The peaceful convoy will be filled with trucks and does not plan to gather at the Capitol. Instead, the convoy will protest close to the National Mall and White House with Christian preachers and bands. Sefcik told the news outlet that convoy might disrupt major corridors of the greater northern Virginia and Maryland area and roads that come as a major commuting road and passage for deliveries into the area.”

Sefcik said to WUSA CBS 9:

“We must get the attention in a peaceful way and this will be our way of doing it. Would we want to stop businesses from opening and people getting to work or school? No we don’t, which is why we are telling the president before to end this now. We do not even need to drive there.”

Around 38,000 people have signed up for the USA convoy, as reported by Sefcik.

News of the convoy comes after Canadian police in Ottawa arrested 191 people during its violent crackdown against the city’s Freedom Convoy protest. Police stated it gave 391 charges, including obstructing police and mischief. Chris Harkins, who was deputy commissioner with the Ontario Provincial Police, said 76 cars were seized.

Canadian PM Justin Trudeau this Monday stated that his government still requires the emergency powers it gave it itself despite taking the convoy apart.

“It became certain that local and provincial officials needed more tools to keep people safe and keep order,” the PM told journalists during a media conference.
