Team Trump Defeats RINOs In Blistering Election Results

South Carolina’s Republican primary on Tuesday evening saw President Trump-backed conservative Russell Fry defeat incumbent Rep. Tom Rice (R-SC), making it another successful endorsement for Donald Trump.

The race was called late Tuesday night by Decision Desk HQ as well as others:

With more than 95% of the vote counted, Fry had 51.1 percent to Rice’s 24.6 percent, according to The New York Times.

One of the ten House Republicans who voted to impeach former President Donald Trump, Rep. Robert “Bobby” Rice (R-GA), has continued to defend his decision to vote with the opposition, stating in a recent interview on ABC’s This Week that he would only consider supporting Trump again if he apologized for January 6. Rice told This Week about his impeachment vote:

“It wasn’t that difficult. When I thought about what had taken place and the president’s conduct or inactivity during the day, it was easy for me to make a decision. It was clear to me what I had to do when I saw how he sat there and put his own vice president’s life, as well as the VP’s wife and child, at risk with people shouting “hang Mike Pence,” while watching the Capitol being sacked for three or four hours, and not lifting a finger to stop it.”

“I was angry. I took an oath to uphold the Constitution. I did it then, and I would do it again today,” he added, also suggesting that RINO Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) would make a “great” Speaker of the House.

“I believe she’s a real Republican,” he remarked. He described her as a “brave leader” who is “very conservative.”

State Rep. Russell Fry, on the other hand, has made a clear distinction between himself and the incumbent, who he defeated Tuesday night, vowing to “defend the America First platform.”

“When you want moderate fighters in the ring, people who stand up for the America First agenda right here in South Carolina, look no further than Russell Fry’s campaign,” he added during a recent appearance on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Saturday.

“People are sick of Congressman Tom Rice. I believe the impeachment vote really demonstrated to us who he is and also revealed a significant dissatisfaction with him in general, which is where has he been on some of these major issues that matter to Americans. And we continue to see a leftward lurch,” he added.

“Tom Rice believes his supporters must be in Washington, DC’s swamp. The truth is that the diligent Americans from South Carolina who reside in the district are paying attention; they want to return to normality; and they desire to see their gasoline costs drop,” he continued. Rice has “never been a conservative warrior.”

“He calls himself a moderate. For his impeachment vote, the South Carolina Republican Party censored him. He attacks conservatives from President Trump all the way down to local activists on a regular basis,” he added.

After calling Rice a “coward” and a “sellout,” who abandoned his constituents by caving to Nancy Pelosi and the Radical Left, Trump endorsed Fry in February.
