Tulsi Gabbard, a former congresswoman from Hawaii, is ranting against Pres. Joe Biden and Vice Pres. Kamala Harris for their far-left “open-border policy,” which she claims allows “cartels, gangs and human traffickers” to make billions of dollars by exploiting illegal immigration on the US-Mexico border.
Biden officials have stated that they intend to terminate the CDC’s Title 42 at the border, confident that doing so will create a surge unlike any other in US history.
Biden team members have prepared for a “mass migration event” along the border, anticipating that a foreign population of about 500,000 people will arrive every month wanting to be released into the United States interior through the administration’s open-door policy.
Gabbard said in a statement that eliminating Title 42 is “a terrible mistake for Americans.”
“The Biden Administration’s open-border policy has been a catastrophe,” Gabbard added. “Removing Title 42 will exacerbate the already large influx of immigrants even further. Cartels, Gangs, and human traffickers would all benefit from this legislation. Trump’s practice of keeping people on the other side of the border was successful and should be reinstated.”
Tulsi Gabbard ran as a Democratic candidate in the open primary race, often rebelling against the open borders lobby and the Democratic establishment with her support of national sovereignty and border controls while on the presidential campaign trail in 2019.
In an interview with Breitbart News, Gabbard said:
“The fact is that if we don’t have borders, we don’t have a country. It’s a trick for individuals to claim that you’re anti-immigrant if you favor secure borders. That isn’t the case.”
She also criticized her fellow Democratic presidential hopefuls who promoted open borders under the guise of charity, such as with free college tuition for illegal aliens, which is paid for by American taxpayers.
“I do not support the borders being open… Some Democratic candidates say, Well, open borders is a conservative idea and that isn’t what they’re proposing, if you look at some of the real-world consequences of some of the things they’re demanding, it’s essentially open borders.” Gabbard said.
