According to former White House physician and current Texas Representative Ronny Jackson, Barack Obama once wrote him an email telling him it was “unprofessional” to criticize Biden’s mental state.
“Biden was on television yet again, making wild allegations and displaying mental gaffes; he did not know what state he was visiting or what office he was running for,” says Jackson of the 2020 campaign season. “He apparently believed at one moment that he was campaigning for the Senate before subsequently forgetting what state he was campaigning in. This went on for months and he got increasingly worse.”
“Trump never made preposterous claims like those Biden was making just about every day,” said Jackson. “He’s not qualified to be president; he needs to have a cognitive test!”
During his 2020 campaign for Congress, Biden’s mental fitness was a major issue for Jackson. He retweeted a video of Joe Biden’s “most recent cognitive misadventure” with the comment, “Remember the cognitive test that Donald Trump took? The one he aced! It sounds like someone else may need some testing as well!! Scary!!!”
When he did, former Pres. Barack Obama sent him an email.
“I have made a point of not discussing your service in my replacement’s administration, and I’ve always praised you both privately and publicly. You have always served my family and I well, and I’ve regarded you as more than simply a great service member and doctor but also a friend,” Obama wrote in the email.
“That’s why I had to express my disappointment at your cheap shot against Joe Biden on Twitter. It was beneath the office you previously held and unprofessional. It was also devastating to me and all of our administration’s friends,” Obama told Jackson. “You were not only the personal doctor to the President of the United States but also an admiral in the United States Navy. I expect more, and I hope that you will expect more from yourself in the future,” he added
Obama’s criticism was dismissed by Jackson.
“So, after a while of thinking about it, I said, ‘You know what? Screw him!’” says Jackson. “I just walked away from it; that was the last time we spoke,” says Jackson.
Despite these claims, the Texas Rep has not stopped sounding the alarm on Biden’s mental health — in fact, he sent out a tweet on Sunday urging for Biden’s ouster:
“At the present time, Biden’s cognitive function is equivalent to that of a child. He has NO CLUE where he is, what he’s doing, or what he’s talking about. HE CAN’T EVEN READ FROM A TELEPROMPTER! This is extremely sad. Biden should step down or the cabinet must intervene. THIS HAS GONE TOO FAR!”
