Pelosi Humiliates Herself With Strange “Ben Franklin” Comment

Pelosi visited Taiwan this week in order to inflame the Chinese and perhaps create a new issue du jour now that the public is no longer fixated on Ukraine, yet she only embarrassed herself and her country on a grand stage with her disgraceful visit.

“I’d said at a meeting with our parliamentarian early in our nation’s history, Benjamin Franklin presidency said, freedom and democracy. Freedom and democracy are one thing. Security here is crucial. We can’t have one without the other if we don’t first have both,” Pelosi continued.

“So we’re talking about security, economics, a secure economy, and again, they’re all interconnected. We want Taiwan to always have freedom with security, and we aren’t going to back down,” she concluded her word salad of nonsense.

Last week, China issued a stern warning to Pelosi when Hu Xijin, the editor of the nationalistic state-owned Global Times tweeted this concerning her anticipated halt during her Asia tour:

“It’s an invasion if US fighter planes accompany Pelosi’s aircraft into Taiwan,” said Hu. “The PLA has the right to order Pelosi’s plane and the US fighter jets accompanying it to depart, including the firing of warning shots and also making tactical moves of obstruction. If that fails, then shoot them down.”

Pelosi is the first House speaker to go to Taiwan since Newt Gingrich’s 1997 visit, according to Fox News.

China has rushed to beef up military activity in both the sea and air around Taiwan since her arrival.

“The arrival of our Congressional delegation to Taiwan upholds America’s unshakable dedication to Taiwan’s thriving democracy,” Pelosi remarked as she touched down in Taipei.

“Our visit is part of our broader journey to the Indo-Pacific — which includes Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, and Japan — focused on mutual security, economic cooperation, and democratic governance.”
